You will be asked to complete several forms relating to Health and Police checks to allow us to begin our statutory checks.  Once the statutory checks and medicals are satisfactorily completed, you will be invited to attend training. This is usually run about 3  times a year and consists of 4 full days. Training is run in each of the three areas, Thurrock, Havering and Southend, separately and if a training course in your area is not convenient then it should be possible to join one of the others. Attendance on training does not however give any guarantee that your formal application will be accepted, or that you will ultimately be approved as adopters.
