Once approved, your details will be entered on the Partners In Adoption Consortium  register, which is available to social workers who are looking for adopters for specific children.  Your details will also be sent to the National Register, which seeks to match children with approved  adopters across England and Wales.  You will also be allocated a support (link) adoption worker who will continue to work with and support you throughout the rest of the process, until you successfully adopt. This will usually be the worker who has assessed you.

We will aim to complete assessments within 8 months from formal application, but if this is not possible, you will be notified in writing of the reasons for the delay.
